Unlike most other bar groups, the League of Prosecutors is organized around the common experience of its members, and an approach to the practice of law formed by the prosecutor's unique duty to "seek justice." Membership is open to anyone who is currently serving as a Florida prosecutor (state or federal) or has served as a Florida prosecutor for more than two years. Our membership represents a broad cross-section of the legal community including prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, civil lawyers, in-house counsel, and non-practicing lawyers.
Governor Rick Scott recently appointed long standing LOP Board member William "Bill" Altfield to the county court bench of the 11th Judicial Circuit. Congratulations Judge Altfield! 
Governor Scott also appointed LOP Board Member Johnette (“Johni”) Hardiman to the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Johni was appointed from the list of nominees submitted by the Florida Bar. She will succeed John Kozyak and is appointed for a term beginning July 2, 2011, and ending July 1, 2015. Johni has served on the Board of Directors of the League of Prosecutors since 2002 and she is currently the Secretary and Vice-President of the League. CONGRATULATIONS JOHNI!!!
